Yanderism, clipped to simply Yan, is an ideology ball used to represent societies where relationships are treated as being more important for the couple, than they are for the individual.

Yan preaches that all relationships should not only be monogamous, but also ones of mutual dependence, based around ideas of obsessive-posessive love. Because of this, it is often seen as a toxic viewpoint by those who don't already agree with them.

History

The titular term Yandere comes primarily from Japanese manga and anime, with the word being used to refer to characters (often girls) who switch from being sweet and caring towards their loved one, to being psychotic and violent towards others. They are also often characterized by having an unhealthy level of devotion to their significant other, in some cases even attacking/killing those who they perceive as 'threatening' their beloved.

The term itself is a portmanteau of two Japanese terms: Yanderu, which means 'to be sick', and deredere, which means 'lovestruck'.

Yanderes are still a present trope within modern media, from anime and manga to even games (e.g. Yandere Simulator).

Personality and Behaviour

Yan will generally be quite uncaring towards other ideologies, caring little for their affairs. However, in the off-chance that they are attracted to another ball, they will exhibit the usual Yandere traits (e.g. Obsessive over their loved one, violent towards balls that 'threaten' their beloved, etc.)

1. Draw a ball,
2. Colour the ball pink
3. Draw a hot-red head bow on the ball,
4. Add the eyes
5. Optional props:
   1. A melee weapon, like a bloodied knife or baseball bat
   2. Glasses (small or large)
   3. Cover parts of the ball in red to imitate blood
