    Axioms

An axiom is something I assert as automatically true for my ideological framework to function. If you find my axioms disagreeable then too bad. There is no changing my mind.

    Deontological Rights/Natural Law

When an individual is a moral agent in full control of their body and actions, this means they own their person and as such have rights under natural law derived from their self-ownership. Anarcho-Capitalists call this the NAP (Non-Aggression Principle) because they believe it applies to everyone and unconditionally prescribes that you shouldn't initiate force against anyone. This belief is stupid, and I use other principles to make the application of natural law more smooth and conditional to make dealing with the nonsense of evil people easier. Some fun rights which come out of natural law are the right to bodily autonomy, property rights, freedom of expression, and everything liberals worry about when it comes to human rights. These rights are conditional on the level of moral agency a human has, and affects what kind of consequences can be inflicted on them when they violate someone elses' rights.

    Virtue Ethics

In addition to things people do having to be ethical, things people do should also have to be virtuous in order to be good. If a "good" action directly facilitates unethical behavior then it conflicts with the first a primary virtue important in my flavor of virtue ethics. Justice. If taking an action would result in or facilitate injustice directly, then it is automatically bad. Don't do it. Other important virtues are Temperance, Humility, Kindness, Long Suffering, Patience, Thankfulness, Charity, and Honesty.

    Temperance

Temperance as a virtue involves pacing and limiting one owns' consumption, and making do with only what you need to achieve a given goal you may have. Be it simply being alive, or playing video games, or building something. Temperance is important because in emphasizes moderation, and building healthy habits around consumption, spending, and planning. Things which can be very hard if you're constantly in the grip of a consumerist frenzy.

    Humility

Humility is not exaggerating, or bragging about your personal achievements, immutable traits, or any other fixture of our ephemeral human lives. While there is nothing wrong with enjoying things and talking about those things, bandying about everything you've ever been involved with is annoying and inconsiderate. The reason humility is important, is because its absence can cause a person to overestimate their abilities and make mistakes. As well as draw Envy from others, which is a very dangerous thing.

    Kindness

While unconditional altruism is basically suicide, Kindness is still an important virtue when weighed in moderation. Kindness involves letting go of little mistakes others make sometimes, and always remembering that there is another error prone human in every societal interaction you perform somewhere in the process. Politeness is also a part of being kind, even if you're in a bad mood it is pretty mean (and arguably abusive) to let that leak out into unrelated interactions. When people ask "How was your day" they don't want to hear a play by play of how you stubbed your toe or something, they want a one sentence barometer of your mood so they know how to best treat you today. Being kind in moderation is a good habit which makes everyone around you happier.

    Long Suffering

There are a lot of terrible things which can happen in a person's day to day life which are no ones' fault in particular. Maybe prices on a good or service you use rose and now you have less money than you expected. Maybe you got sick. Maybe something fell onto your car, or your head due to turbulent weather. At any rate, it is very important to keep your head up and try to keep going despite the innate unfairness of existence, and while it is natural to get angry at these things it is generally bad to be having a meltdown every 5 minutes. So make sure you have a healthy outlet and strategies to deal with the bad things in life.

    Patience

It is said that good things come to those who wait, and that's usually true. When someone says something is going to take some time, it's usually best to let them take it. Taking shortcuts or rushing this can have negative results, or even put you in danger. So be patient, there are always other things you can do while you wait. Rushing people also makes them stress out, which is kind of mean.

    Thankfulness

Being thankful involves eschewing comparisons against other, and instead counting what you already have earned legitimately or been gifted with. Thankfulness can help bring inner peace, and helps you be a better judge of value. Thankfulness is important because it helps you see the silver linings of life, which is often unfair and cruel. It also helps temper you from constantly chasing more material wealth.

    Charity

Since life is unfair, it is important to give people down on their luck a chance to get on their feet so they can also live fulfilling lives. Though one should also be discerning with how they give and to whom. This is best discerned by the revealed preference of the organization or person you are giving to. If they are just interested in facilitating the lifestyles of lazy but otherwise able-bodied and minded people then that is a waste of resources. Slothful and foolish people should have to face the consequences of their actions.

    Honesty

People need information in order to live. What is good to eat? Where is the water? What's the weather like today? Humans ask a lot of questions, and if someone asks you a question it is usually best to answer honestly. Being dishonest might result directly or indirectly in people making huge mistakes or getting hurt. Wasting lot of time and resources in the process. A big exception when it comes to honesty is if honesty would lead directly to someone being hurt unjustly. Putting it with a fitting analogy, you don't need to let the Nazis know about Jews in your attic.

    The Nature of Moral Agency

Moral Agency is the capability of an entity to understand, comprehend, and make moral decisions. While most ideologies ascribe moral agency to ever person and or person-shaped object which comes into line of sight. Vesselism does not.

    Children

Children are the first and most obvious group of people who do not have complete moral agency, and therefore do not have a complete set of rights. Children are often ignorant, and their underdeveloped brains do not allow for complete reasoning or complete comprehension of the world around them.

    The mentally ill

The next group is those who posses pathological mental illnesses and can be classed as clinically insane. This group includes people with severe Schizophrenia, Psychopathy, Sociopathy, Low Functioning Autism, and other chromosomally deficient homonculi. Such people have minds either too simple or too dysfunctional to fully grasp reality.

    Women

While it has been argued by some that women are basically just animals, I disagree with that point of view. Women are a lot closer mentally speaking to overgrown children. Unless kept in check by a properly restraining moral system with authority figures to keep it in check as they develop. Women will usually develop into childish, irresponsible, and adulterous persons, with no regard for ethics or morality. Such individuals usually end up aging into cat ladies, and rightfully end up dying alone. Nothing is wrong with women participating in most mundane activities that men can participate in, but their neotenal brains are a huge risk if they ever end up in a situation where moral hazard is at play. This means they should be kept away from positions of authority, business management positions, STEM fields, and making decisions for people who aren't (their) children (or under approved guardianship by them).

    The Ideologically Possessed

A great many ideologies discourage their members from examining, questioning, or modifying their axiomiatic and epistemological roots. As a result people indoctrinated or radicalized into certain ideas are functionally incapable of every changing their minds. Becoming completely dominated by the ideology's grip on them. This can easily be seen in people who are "politically engaged" on twitter and stuck to the progressive social status quo. They do not think, they simply take in whatever ideas they are fed and regurgitate the objectively incorrect nonsense which results. No examination of scientific data, philosophy, epistemology, or normatively emperical knowledge will ever change the minds of such people. They are "input-output" machines. When such people are controlled by an ideology incompatible with human flourishing, or aggressively destructive to it they are considered to be much like a walking cognitohazard. Spreading their terrible disease to others and creating more thoughtless evil in the world. Depending on the severity of their brainworms, such people may simply have to be regularly policed and guarded to ensure proper behavior. In worse cases where the individual attempts to violently thwart or oppose basic human freedom in spite of any incentives or threats offered, they must be summarily executed.

    The Determination of Truth

Vesselism believes that Methodological Naturalism (a.k.a Science) is an invaluable tool for the production of knowledge. However recent events have revealed that the scientific community is not an impenetrable behemoth, and that its use can easily be perverted for the goals of tyrants and communists.

Another important aspect of Truth is determining if a given action constitutes harm or immorality. While previous axioms cover most cases in modern society, edge cases abound. Science can also assist in this regard, doing studies on the long-term consequences of certain types of decisions can easily determine if they harm the individuals subject to them. As such it is important to ensure that this science remains as impartial and methodologically sound as possible.

    Decentralizing Science

In order to prevent scientific work from forming into a monolithic institution not too dissimilar from a church. The best way to change the way science is done is to decentralize its funding and promote citizen science engagement. Trusts could be set up dedicated to funding of specific projects, and could solicit funds from people. Also keeping their funding sources transparent to reveal any bias which may influence the project's outcome.

The Fixtures of a Functioning Society

A Society is the emergent result of mass human interactions. Having a society has many benefits, including increased charity, safety, and production. In order for a society to cohere humans must be able to interact with each other comfortably and have a mutual understanding of the rules these interactions entails. Most individuals must also be of a sound mind. The ethical and moral system described in the previous section is designed to fulfill the requirement of mutually understood rules. In order for people to be comfortable and largely sane there are a few other things you're going to want.

    Family

Humans are a social species. In order for a human to properly develop they need to grow up in a functional and supportive family unit. Families teach children many things, including facial recognition, speech, motor skills, and how to socialize with others. If a family unit is incomplete (especially if it lacks a father) this can lead to a child growing up in that family to be socially dysfunctional. Something which should be obvious if you look at this.

    Property

The concept of responsibility is hardwired into the human brain. As understanding what agent or event causes an effect is important for understanding causality. From responsibility, labor, and self-ownership it is clear to see how humans come to the conclusion of property even in absence of ideology or formal philosophical formulations. The desire to own and retain the fruits of one's own labor therefore is entirely natural and justifiable. So it is that humans are only comfortable socializing and trading in a culture and society which respects their right to property. Otherwise people become desperate, desolate, hostile, and hungry.

    Spirituality

The human mind is innately wired to seek completeness in their view of the world. Unanswered questions and contradicting explanations inherently bother us. While science is a great way to answer unanswered questions, there are just some things methodological naturalism cannot solve. There are things which are innately mysterious, and defy normal explanation. As such people should be allowed to turn to religion or the occult so they have a framework to understand these things. As long as they aren't hurting anyone as a matter of practice then people should be allowed to seek out whatever religion they want. Spirituality also helps stabilize human morality, and offers compelling reasons to stick to proper moral system. Purely Materialist systems cannot do this, and lead people to moral nihilism and vapid pleasure seeking which leads to general unhappiness. Spiritual systems also offer more shared values for people and communities.

    Culture

Culture is a collection of social customs and traditions which function as social protocols over ethics and morality. These customs usually to not contravene ethics or morality, and allows for a shadow layer of social communication to occur. Helping indicate to a person if another shares their values and customs without having to explicitly ask, and pick up on the feelings another may have. Culture makes regular social interactions easier to initiate and allows them to proceed more smoothly. Without common culture people would treat every interaction as a highly diplomatic affair, which would waste time, resources, and energy. Causing both parties to become emotionally strained.

    Economics

To Vesselism, the economy is the emergent result of mass exchange in society. Economies allow people to raise their standard of living; Allowing food, water, shelter, heathcare, and other necessities to be easily attained and even produced in excess by able-bodied people.

    Privatized Regulation

It is often a concern of people that without state regulation, products will become unsafe and risky to use. While this can be partially countermanded with examples of the state and corporations colluding to allow extremely unsafe products into the market for profit, wonder how people will know goods are safe is still a valid concern. Vesselism's solution to this is simple, allow people to open firms which offer privatized product standards for everything. Food, Medicine, Machinery, all of this could easily be regulated privately. A good example of a private regulatory agency is General Electric, which tests basically every electronic appliance and implement you will ever see in the stores of the western world. They allow producers to submit their products for testing and get approved to use GE's seal to indicate their safety and quality. They are effective and are functionally the gold standard of safety and quality for appliances and machines of all types, testing their limits and making sure they are well built and functional for consumers.

    The Shadow Market

The Shadow Market is the term Vesselism uses for goods and services not offered to the general public due to failing to meet regulatory standards consumers expect, or due to the products or services being considered by the majority of society to be repugnant. Vesselism doesn't wish to try and reduce the parts of the shadow market which offer ethically obtainable goods and services, as it would allow people with less money to obtain goods which they otherwise not be able to due to the cost of meeting regulations to get into more reputable vendors, as well as allowing people to meet compulsive desires which while less than moral, are still ethical. Shadow Markets are also important to keeping the amount of regulation from institutions in check. If private regulation by organizations and vendors become too strict then the cost will force people to lean on the shadow markets for their good and services. Thereby this will cause people to stop following excess regulations in order to make a profit, causing organizations which attempt to use regulatory standards to control people's lives to go out of business.

    The Red Market

The ugly truth is that not all trade is ethical, and it will always be that way. Human societies have always been permeated by defective and anti-social individuals capable of great evil. In circumstances where these people do not have power, they must hide themselves. The Red Market is the emergent result of these people exchanging goods and services to sate their evil impulses and desires. Vesselism does believe that when Red Markets are discovered, that all involved in severe activity (e.g human trafficking, torture, slavery) should be investigated and that all individuals involved in perpetuating the exchanges in the Red Market found should be executed. Which is better than what states do, that being brazenly facilitate the worst of humanity as long as they are politically connected.

    Private Charity

Vesselism believes that private charity is extremely important to providing goods and services to people disadvantaged by unfair circumstances and disasters. When private charity is done for those who have trouble with financial responsibility (e.g drug addicts) it should ideally be done with non-fungible goods. Like food, water, housing, medical care, and education.

    Organization

    Population Density

Vesselism posits that large cities like you see on the coasts of the United State are unnatural and a product of state intervention into the market. Rather most places where people live would be a town center where people work and trade, with outlying rural communities and homes hosting most of the population. Towns would be held together not by any legal binding, but by a sense of community, safety, and shared values.

    Borders

Here is the part where Vesselism departs from most Libertarian and Anarchist thought very heavily. Vesselism believes that a person, town, city, county, or even whole sociocultural nation has the right to work together and construct a border to obstruct the freedom of movement of people who may seek to take undue advantage of their resources. Simply put, every person has a birthright to the circumstance and general socialized resources their ancestors have left them. And a right to any property their family has bequeathed to them. Purely economic immigration violates a person's right to keep this gift to themselves and their sociocultural kin. A person born in China has no more right to the nation of the United States than someone born in the United States has to the nation of China. To allow people to simply go wherever they want and siphon up resources is pure imperialism. As such any migrant who wants to get past a rightfully constructed border must be sponsored in by a willing individual who uses their own resources to help them get a start in their new home country. Immigrants who commit any crime should be removed from the nation and sent back to where they came from. no exceptions. Vesselism finds the usage of migrants as political pawns by the state to be particularly disgusting, as they are irresponsibly diluting the cultures of the nations and communities who end up hosting them, and often placing an undue economic burden on their citizens through crime or forced resource distribution (welfare).

    Social Norms

Vesselism is a mostly traditionalist ideology. Believing that traditions should be preserved because they usually work. While people will often ignore traditions and feel okay at the time, there are often knock-on effects to doing this that progressive types don't usually see coming, and are pretty much universally negative for society. For example, abandoning dating and older sexual norms has led to growing and disproportionately large group of women and men emerging which cannot find a proper partner.

    I complain about modern courtship

While there are a lot of reasons some of these people may be unattractive on a personality level, what binds a lot of them together is they either slept around a lot and have now run out of fertile years, or they are emotionally stunted cry babies with the fortitude and pleasantness of raw cabbage. At any rate nobody wants to date them and as they age it becomes increasingly likely that they will die alone. "Sexual Liberation" for women has also led to men holding onto their virginity for a lot longer, as women tend to be naturally hypergamous they only go for the most attractive men (top 10%) while ignoring the rest. They usually settle for a less attractive partner which matches their own level of attractiveness once they're nearing the end of their fertility span (which in most women ends between 28 and 32). This may seem like a silly problem, but it become more serious when you remember the obvious fact that the act of reproduction is literally what keeps society functioning. This is yet another thing on the heap of modern problems which has caused birth rates to plummet all across the western world.

    I complain about materialism

Another thing which has been abandoned is the general tendency to conserve and hang on to ones' resources for later. People are intent on constantly giving up their hard-earned resources for worthless trinkets, or giving them to grifter "activists" who they believe will solve the world's problems for them. This attitude has pervaded much of society's institutions as well. Meaning people are constantly overspending, leaving nothing for emergencies, delayed gratification, charity, or even their own children. Its disgusting and I hate it.

    Other things

    Here's just a bullet-point list of "traditional" things I like/endorse/believe

    • Marriage between straight couples is cool as a covenant before the christian god. gay marriage? not so much.
    • Respect your parents as best you can
    • Be kind to animals
    • Sex should only occur in committed relationships
    • Be respectful of other people's religious values as long as they aren't actively hurting anyone
    • Pornography is bad for your mind and soul, you shouldn't use it.
    • There is an ultimate being
    • Be kind and charitable to others, even when they try to hurt you.
    • Do not covet what others have, count your own blessings.
    • Try to engage with your family / local community in gatherings and get to know others around where you live.
    • Children should not be taught anything about sex, sexuality, "gender", race, or "class" in school. For things involving sex and sexuality, they should talk to their parents once they are 13 or 14.
    • "Gender" is an astroturfed social sciences concept, there are two biological sexes which correspond to a heavily bimodal distribution of traits. They are Male and Female as god made them. When you are born as one you remain that way for your entire life.
    • Using hard drugs (including cigarettes and alcohol) is bad for you, you shouldn't use them.

    Miscellaneous

I'll get to this later, ask me questions on my talk page about any questions you may want answered here.

    Relationships

    Friends

    • Agorism - I like your ideas about Black and Grey markets. But I have realized you need more than market forces to have proper anarchism.
    • Agrarian Anarchism - Who doesn't like fresh produce and cute animals?
    • Voluntaryism - Pretty much how anarchism should be, someone forcing you to do something for any reason is just making their own little tyranny.
    • Autarchism - People need to take responsibility for themselves. Each man is the master of their own destiny.
    • Virtue Ethics - Extremely based perspective on morality.
    • Anarchism - No rulers!

    Frienemies

    • Urbism - really neat concept, now lets drop the state.
    • Anarcho-Communism - why communism?
    • Anarcho-Capitalism - I like the markets, but "Capitalism" is a shitlib term for dumb shit. Also please stop saying "private companies can do whatever they want." When you're looking at giant state-subsidized monoliths, it's really embarrassing.
    • Hoppeanism - to some people we may seem superficially similar. I think that most Hoppeans don't have bad intent, but have been misled by Hoppe's simping for feudalism and monarchy. As well as his shaky understanding of Natural Rights and contract law.
    • Libertarianism and Minarchism - You're so close, please reconsider the idea that we need a state.

    Enemies

    • "Anarcho"-Fascism - Yeah, lets just take a Hegelian philosophy and try to make it anarchist. Just kidding, No.
    • Libertarian Socialism and His more honest twin - get the fuck out commies, Libertarianism has to involve property rights, even Proudhon knew that. even if his concept of property rights sucked
    • Fascism - Deeply cringe and stupid, literally worships the state.
    • Marxism - you ruin everything your ideology touches. You have also created the entirely materialistic undercurrent our society which is slowly rotting everything.
    • Neo-Marxism - THESE POST-MODERN NEOMARXIST [wall of text]. But in all seriousness you're just him but instead of sticking to economy you have taken Marxism to it's fully Hegelian conclusion and are trying to force communism into every facet of human life.
    • Authoritarian Capitalism - I don't think you understand how this works.
    • Progressivism - even when practiced by libs your only purpose and your true end goal is to erode society so they can finally get in another attempt.
    • every ideology in these alignments - fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

    Friendly

  • Duck - I have interacted with you sparsely but you seem chill. You ideology is compatible with mine, but the one issue I have is that you don't see the issues inherent in cultural progressiveness and marxist economics as applied anarchy (or any system really).
  • Meh

    • Glencoeism - You seem like someone who is very concerned about issues, but has picked a particular way to solve them instead of searching around a little. Or figuring out if it can or should be solved. You seem pretty alright though. Cool it with coddling. Safety nets don't work when they're broad enough for people to use them as a hammock.
