Transgenderism is the political manifestation of pro-transgenderism. Transgenderism in sociology is a categorization which describes a person whose gender identity does not match their assigned gender at birth. Transgenderism is usually culturally progressive, though not exclusively so. It is not affiliated with any political positions, though transgender people have shown a somewhat left-leaning trend in recent years.
