Torontoism is a self-insert ideology based on the political beliefs of Canadian internet musician Antonio Toronto. Antonio Toronto is economically Socialist (though pro-market, as long as it is well-regulated), culturally reformist, and civically liberal (though leaning heavily towards libertarianism), as well as alter-globalist, environmentalist, feminist (technically), and above all other secondary alignments, populist. Over all he is quite a moderate socialist, which is why he prefer to call himself a progressive or a cooperativist.
Followers of Antonio Toronto's beliefs (known as Torontoites) believe that socialism is inevitable. However, they believe that it is being delayed by complications in socialism created by anti-revisionists, as well as a complacency towards neoliberal capitalism from left-leaning parties. As a solution to this, they believe in simplifying socialism into 3 basic principles:
1. Implementing Workplace Democracy
2. Providing the needs of the people
3. Making Parliamentary democracy more direct
In order to pass off true socialism as "progressivism". This will fuel a constant stream of leftist reforms and activism until Socialism is achieved in a given country, in this case Canada (but hypothetically it could work for any liberal democracy).
Cultural Views
Torontoists believe in a basic principle known as the harm principle, which states that if one is not harming others, themselves, or the law, which would be based upon this principle, then an individual should be able to do whatever they want. This would be seen as a compromise with traditionalists and progressives as this would allow an individual to live as traditional or neoteric life that the individual desires, and as long as the individual's lifestyle doesn't harsh on others, then they would be free to live as they please. This principle would also affect law enforcement, as laws and the police system would be replaced with community-elected law enforcers who would enforce laws that state what goes against the harm principle.
Torontoites believe that queer rights are inalienable, and wish to codify things such as same-sex marriage, the ability to change your gender on legal documents, the ability to change your genitals with gender-affirming surgery, etc. In contrast, they have semi-controversial beliefs when it comes to gender and marriage. You see, they believe that while gender is a social construct made up by society, they don't necessarily see them as bad things and that the individual should be able to pick and choose what gender roles and structures to conform to, they also really love marriage and wish to simply redefine it as "a union of two (or more, we don't judge) individuals who are deeply committed to each other in a romantic sense" in order to make the term more progressive and open to all. This may be conceived as traditionalist and controversial to more radical progressives, as many wish to abolish gender entirely.
While Torontoites are huge advocates for equality of all genders, they believe that modern feminism doesn't do that and actually does the opposite and fights for female supremacy. While technically you could call a Torontoite a feminist, they would much rather call themselves humanists, as humanism is intersectional and calls for the equality all peoples regardless of gender, sexuality, race, etc. They also have quite controversial views about marriage amongst feminists, as they quite like marriage and wish to simply redefine it as "a union of two (or more, we don't judge) individuals who are deeply committed to each other in a romantic sense" in order to make the term more progressive and open to all. This may be conceived as traditionalist and misogynistic to quite a lot of feminists, as many see marriage as inherently misogynistic.
Economics
Cooperativism is basically another word for workplace democracy, and Torontoites are absolutely obsessed with Cooperatives. They believe in increasing the cooperative sector whilst in the process of achieving the conditions for a bloodless revolution, in which the cooperative sector would take over the space the private sector currently has. They belive that workplace democracy is the purest form of socialism and is what separates modern socialism from social democracy. This, as well as the regulations on the market and the increase of union power, would box in private business owners and monopolies until the Torontoite government would just, remove private business owners entirely in a peaceful and non-violent way.
Torontoites believe that while different nations should cooperate with each other, and that socialist and progressive parties from around the globe must stand in solidarity with each other, Torontoism believes in strong localization of the Market. This would be done by giving subsidies to local cooperatives via the municipal governments, and would be funded via tariffs to other countries and taxing franchised companies. Because of this, you could say Torontoism is alter-globalist in its nature.
Torontoites believe that the best way that a socialist economy is not through a planned economy nor a free market, but rather a mixed economy in which both nationalized services and cooperative workspaces coexist. However, the cooperative businesses would not operate within a lassez faire market, but rather a more Keynesian and regulationist market. This is because we still can't be sure that the cooperatives would not, say, harm the environment to cut production costs and that because a Torontoite socialist system would have to achieve gradually in order for it to be ideal, private businesses would still be around for the first little bit of a Torontoites time in power. These regulations would cut down on environmental harm, fix prices, and make sure everything is fair trade. This, alongside the increase of union power and the cooperative sector will box out private business owners until we can remove them non-violently.
Government
Torontoites would prefer to establish socialism via progressive reforms rather than with a violent revolution. How they would do this is that they would take over the furthest left mainstream party in their country, get elected, and establish a transitional social libertarian state. Once this social libertarian state is reached, the conditions will be raised to a standard in which voters associate prosperity with the Torontoite party, and give even more power to them. Once they have this power, they can force out private owners and place private businesses in either the public or cooperative sector, as well as make the parliamentary system more direct.
Torontoites believe in having a robust welfare state that would provide many social programs to the citizens of the nation. These social programs would include free healthcare, dental care, MENTAL health care, education, basic housing, and food via food stamps, amongst other basic needs. All of this would be done through either nationalized industry (in the case of things like healthcare and education) or through paying cooperatives to provide necessities (in the case of things like food and housing).
Torontoites believe that the state should run Westminister system of parliamentary democracy, but with a very libertarian twist to the system, it would get rid of the Senate. In the current style of the Westminster system there are two parts of government, the house of commons, which is democratically elected, and the senate which isn't, they wish to replace the senate as they view having a non-democratically elected body vote on whether to pass laws is an insult to democracy and therefore the people. To correct this injustice, they decide to replace the senate with, in theory, the polar opposite, direct democracy. After a bill is passed in the house of commons, it would be held to a referendum in which the people can vote on whether to pass it as a law or amend it. If the bill gets a 2/3 majority, it gets passed as a law and gets put in place immediately. If it doesn't, then it goes back to the house of commons for amendments. If the bill is rejected in the popular vote 3 times, then the bill is thrown out altogether.

Liberal Socialism - You can work in two ways. The first is as a reversal of her, in which you liberalize a country by turning an oppressive, state capitalist beurocracy pretending to be a communist nation into a free, cooperativist democracy.
