Syncretic Kemalism is the self-insert ideology of Plantboi (u/Plantboi123 on Reddit). It is quite close to Kadroism, being a mixture of Kemalism and Socialism along with several other minor ideologies.
My beliefs (simplified, I elaborate more in the specific sections):
- I am a Turkish nationalist
- I am a cultural and leftist nationalist, not an ethnic one!
- I am an economic nationalist, thus I believe in self-sufficiency and protectionism
- I am an alter-globalist, no that isn't contradictory with nationalism
- I want a state-controlled socialist economy, with planning done through technology/ computers
- I believe in a meritocracy, and want to establish a common starting point for it through extensive welfare programs
- I want an authoritarian/ illiberal dominant party democracy. Like Singapore or The USSR when it had party factionalism
- I am personally religious but support a secular state
Beliefs
Nation as Family and Community
I consider myself a nationalist, but my definitions might be a bit unorthodox.
Nationalism is placing importance on your national identity, being proud of it, and wanting to preserve it. And your national identity is what culture/ language you're a part of and, more importantly, what you consider yourself to be. "How happy is the one who says I am a Turk" after all.
One's nation should be like one's family. A community one loves and can expect to be loved back. A community one works for, to improve, and doesn't expect anything in return. Members of a nation should be united and should be able to trust each other. And like families, nationalism should be built on love and love alone. Hatred of other nations has never contributed anything good to nationalism, hatred is counterproductive to the goal of love and wanting to help your people. Ethnic conflict should be seen like the blood feuds of the olden days, barbaric.
Ironically enough, an example of my vision of nationalism is the modern queer community. Of course, they're based around gender/ sexual identity instead of nationality, but they're based on love and comradery, what I've been talking about for the last few sentences.
Some might call my interpretation of Nationalism to be closer to Patriotism. I disagree. Patriotism is specifically about the country, the political entity one lives in. It's much easier to control for the ruling elites. Meanwhile nationalism transcends political borders and institutions, it transcends the fall of one political system and the rise of another.
An Economy that Serves the Nation
I have said in the last section that I was a nationalist, this holds true in the economic sense as well. The purpose of a national economy should be to help the nation and its people first and foremost. It should not be to generate wealth for specific individuals or large corporations while oppressing the common man. This is especially important if those individuals and corporations are from foreign countries and leave after getting their money.
That's why I believe in a planned and developmental economy. The economy should be controlled by the state and utilized to its fullest potential to help the general population. The economy should be developed and rapidly industrialised, to achieve economic independence and self sufficiency. If a country can't be self sufficient can't be truly independent. I also support protectionism to develop domestic production.
I know economic planning is seen as inefficient by many, and I agree. A single group of people can't know every factor that affects the economy and calculate according to them, this leads to inefficiency. You know who can do that though? Supercomputers and advanced AI. I fully support making use of computers in economic planning to increase efficiency and get rid of possible human error.
Meritocracy through Welfarism
I believe in a meritocracy, in apolitical affairs. The people who have shown the best performance should be rewarded more. This should obviously be tracked over a long period so just one bad day with bad luck does not ruin someone's life (cough cough I hate school systems based around one big exam cough cough)
But without government assistance, this meritocracy is simply impossible to accomplish. Rich people have an easier life, which means they can spend more time practising and learning. A poor person on the other hand might need to work to afford training, they might need to take the bus and spend more time in transit, they might need to do their own chores, they might have to take care of their family. They might want to work harder than everyone else, but simply not have the resources or time to do so.
To remedy this, I believe the government should provide all basic necessities. Everyone should have enough food not to starve, enough water not to get thirsty, a house to sleep in, free public transit for travel; completely free education and dormitories, and free textbooks. The amounts provided should be the minimum to live relatively comfortably, to still encourage people to work to afford better things. That way, bettering themselves can be the primary goal of people instead of survival. Healthy individuals who can and are motivated to work and be the best version of themselves will benefit everyone greatly.
There is also a second reason I support generous welfare programs. I value human life more than human comfort. Making life slightly worse for a majority of people, through higher taxes, for example, is worth it if it means preventing deaths. Life is sacred and limited, a death can never be taken back, thus it is more important than material things.
A Religious Society, through Secularism
I consider myself a religious person, and I want my religion to influence society as I believe a society should be religious. A common religion gives society another identity to bond over and it increases societal trust. But I also believe in a secular state for a few reasons:
1) Religion is one's personal relationship with God, it is based on faith and should be entirely voluntary. Forcing religion onto people (by including it in the state) defeats its whole purpose!
2) Absolute power corrupts absolutely. If a religious leader has any way to get power, then the position will be sought after by opportunists who will hurt the religion. Of course, there is no way to stop this without changing the religion to abolish its hierarchies, but we can minimise it by not giving religious leaders any influence over the government.
3) If religion is the current state of society and government, if it is the status quo/ default, people will direct their anger at the status quo to it. For religion to survive in this age of materialism, it needs to be the thing people turn to when they are tired of society. This can be achieved through secularism. When religion is something you only see willingly, it will be much harder to be angry at it, it will be something to opt into instead of something to avoid.
Pan-Nationalism and Globalism
I am an alter-globalist. I believe nations should work together to avoid conflict and fight existential threats such as climate change. But this is currently just a dream, under capitalism, stronger countries crush and exploit weaker ones. Thus, strength is paramount.
Alongside the obvious ways to get stronger like building up ones economy and military, I support Pan-Nationalism to increase our strength. It is the only ethical way to expand in our modern age, joining forces with others like you and getting power from unity.
The only alternative is imperialism and it is morally reprehensible, no matter the kind. No nation has any right to another's land or resources. It doesn't matter if it's through an army and colonies or banks and companies. I fully support national self-determination and anti-imperialism!
Democracy, Revolution, and the lack thereof To be Rewritten
I disagree with revolutionarism. Firstly, because most people who want a revolution treat it like a biblical apocalypse: Something that is guaranteed to happen someday, that will magically fix everything, and means we shouldn't try making things better in the meantime. This is obviously unrealistic, in the modern era where capital has the support of the media, general culture, the already powerful etc., a revolution is pretty much impossible.
The second reason is my valuing of human life. If a violent revolution did occur as planned, it would undoubtedly lead to the loss of many innocent lives. Not just those who would die in the fighting and the purges, but the many who are dependent on the current system (welfare for example) who would die in the rough transition period. I don't find that acceptable.
My ideal way to get power would be through democratic means. However, after securing power, our party would move to end or heavily restrict democracy. The people must be convinced of socialism and it's much harder for that to happen when the opposition is fully mobilised in government and in the media. So basically, I believe in a socialist single-party democracy. Democracy will be reinstated after the people have been convinced to support socialism, with the options being between different leftist parties or factions within a single vanguard party.
Geopolitical Stances
Russia-Ukraine War
I hate geopolitical realism, the idea that great powers are like players in a big game of poker, and tiny countries are their pieces that can be sacrificed at will. It's an insult to the idea of self-determination!
I don't like the West, but sacrificing Ukraine's independence to weaken it is not something I'd ever support. I wouldn't support sacrificing any nation's independence. This is also not considering how, except for opposing the West, Russia is way worse than it domestically and most of the time internationally.
I stand with Ukraine!
Israel-Palestine
Taiwanese Independence
Cyprus
Nagorno-Karabakh and Kurdish Independence
I'm a Turkish Nationalist, what do you think will be my answer to these?
Relations
My Ideologies
- Kemalism - The ideology that saved my nation at its darkest hour, and brought it incredible progress! Long live Mustafa Kemal Paşa!
- Left-Wing Nationalism - The love of freedom and humanity begets love of one's own nation. The best type of nationalism as it does not fall into the bigotry that right-wing nationalists usually fall victim to.
- Cultural Nationalism - We must preserve our customs and traditions! Though I am not a traditionalist, traditions are good for society in my opinion but they are not sacred or completely good.
- State Socialism - I explained my views on economic planning in the economy section. I want the economy to serve the general populace, not the 0.01% and their meaningless numbers on charts, and I believe socialism controlled by the state achieves that better than the alternatives.
- Alter-Globalism - Cooperation between different nations without erasing their identity or exploiting them for profit? Count me in!
- Anti-Imperialism - I don't think I need to explain why a nationalist alter-globalist would despise imperialism.
- Republicanism - No one deserves to have power, wealth, and admiration just because of a bloodline! Down with monarchy!
- Environmentalism - We do not own this world, we're merely borrowing it from future generations. Thus it is our duty to keep it as healthy as possible. There are a lot of other arguments for environmentalism too; like cultural sites being destroyed alongside the environment, resources being wasted, and the hard to ignore fact of we're all gonna die if we don't do something about global warming.
- Centralism - The nation should be one political entity. Dividing it between several small governments does nothing but create arbitrary division, and make it possible for reactionaries to take hold of one place in the country and stop it from developing politically.
- Scientocracy - Science is the backbone of societal progress! There's not much to add really.
Allies
- Democratic Socialism - We both agree on getting power through democratic means, but I don't think you can abolish capitalism without abandoning them. The influence of capital, both physical and cultural, is too strong to shake off while operating under the limits they themselves set up. You're literally me other than that part.
- Islamic Socialism - I am you by definition, but you are generally much more socially conservative than me. We're still very close but I'm not comfortable putting you in 'my ideologies' because of that.
- State Capitalism - I support State Socialism because I believe it's the best system to achieve my economic goals, and if we look at it from a purely pragmatic angle, you are a close second place.
- Progressivism - Harmful traditions can and should be replaced, and traditions in general should not be forced onto people through law. I am not putting you in 'my ideologies' since we draw the line on where good traditions end and harmful traditions begin in different places.
- Georgism - I agree with your views on land and the establishment of a LVT, but it shouldn't replace all taxes.
- Meritocracy - I support you, but I think you're impossible without equal starting points and access to resources, something many of your followers disagree with me on.
- Nasserism, Tridemism and Titoism - You are pretty close to me and to Kemalism, but applied to other countries. I support your anti-imperialist nationalism and generally left-wing policies.
Mixed, Leaning Like
- Social Democracy - When will you realise the society you want to establish is inherently unstable? Capital has massive influence over society and unless you take it away, it will slowly erode all the progress you make.
- Islamic Democracy - I am you by definition, and I agree with your goal of a secular yet religious state. But most of your supporters are economically liberal and many more of them go too far in the religious direction.
- Pan-Nationalism/ Turanism - In the modern world of geopolitics, being strong enough to not get exploited or controlled by bigger powers is necessary, and uniting with other nations is a great way to get stronger. Alongside that, I believe in nation-states and consider all Turks to be one nation. It's just that... a lot of your supporters are nazis.
- Civic Nationalism - This is pretty much just patriotism, and I gave my thoughts on that in the Nationalism section.
- Leninism - I disagree with revolutionarism but the way the October 'Revolution' actually happened was the best possible outcome. And other than state atheism, I agree with you on a lot of issues.
- Longism - Subverting democracy and using authoritarian tactics to make the lives of the common folk better? You are, for lack of a better word, extremely based! But you could have gone so much farther, and your social policies leave a lot to be desired too.
Mixed, Leaning Dislike
- Revolutionary Progressivism - Traditions and culture are things worth preserving unless they affect society in a bad way, which not all of them do. Plus, I've said before that I disagree with revolutionarism and political violence in principle.
- Liberalism - Your goals are noble but they contradict each other. A true democracy, which is an arguable thing to begin with, can't be achieved under capitalism. As long as wealth can be accumulated and used, it will give power to those not elected and they will slowly but surely erode democracy.
- Market Socialism - One of the major flaws of capitalism comes from markets. When a business can expand, it will desire to forever. It will corrupt everything in its path to get more wealth and hurt society for profit. I just don't see how giving the business to its workers will stop this greed. One owner or a hundred, they will still act like a business.
- Anarchism (in general) - You have some of the best intentions of any ideology, but I don't believe they can work as they're intended or would even result in a better society.
- Stalinism - I get trying to defend the revolution through authoritarian means but was criminalising homosexuality and committing ethnic cleansing really necessary?
- Agrarianism - Agricultural independence is extremely important, but it's not everything. A country can't become rich just by selling agricultural products; it needs industry, cities, manufacturing, and it should be able to provide equipment for its military.
- National Conservatism - Capitalism is anthithetical to nationalism. A system where everyone works for their own sake and a system where everyone works for their common identity are not compatible. Even in your anti-capitalist versions, you fall into the trap of hate. I made my opinions on 'types of nationalism built on hate' clear in the nationalism section.
- Secular Satanism - Theocracy is bad, I agree, but intentionally choosing an aesthetic that's supposed to be offensive against religious people just to anger a tiny fraction of them is unneccecary and edgy.
Enemies
This whole section is WIP
Pretty Good
- Markez Thought - We're pretty much identical (except for some minor social/ geopolitical stances and transhumanism). Left-Nationalism is best nationalism! Though you should probably stop calling yourself a Jucheist, I know you're not using it as "Kim Jong Un Fan" but people who haven't read your page definitely don't
- I know, but I don't want to change my page just because a couple of idiots don't take the time to read it (I actually left discord for this reason)
- Democratic Communism - Very based, but you should be more radical. Do you really think you can establish communism through democratic means?
- Canorism - Religious socialist gang! Other than markets you're pretty much perfect!
- Esaism - You're extremely based on everything but the drugs. Why drugs?
- User:DragonRed - Your economic beliefs zigzag between good and bad constantly, other than that you're very cool. Bonus points for being Turkish
Mediocre
- VMism - Based for opposing culture wars, the rest of your ideology is meh
- Libertarian-Cantonalism - I disagree with your libertarianism, but we're very similar otherwise
- Ego-Social Statism - Normally I'd put you in a worse category, because I hate egoists, but you don't actually seem very egoist in the traditional sense. The rest of your ideology is still great.
- Innovativism - Using libertarianism to give more freedom to scientists is one of the better reasons to support it in my opinion. And I can't put a fellow studying lover any lower (but just saying, your page makes you seem very egotistical)
- Lilacist Democracy - You're pretty much a georgist social democract, a bit too moderate for my taste but decent. I gave my criticism of social democracy in the relations section: The society you want to build is a good one but it is inherently unstable
- CHROMATISM - You are not horrible, I'll give you that; especially in your cultural views. But your economic views (I'm still not convinced capitalist transhumanism won't just become cyberpunk) and misunderstanding of nationalism leave a lot to be desired...
Mixed
- MemAlephism - You have good intentions but I disagree with your methods, there's not much I can add here except repeating my critique of market socialism
- Five-Star Mutualism - I don't like market socialism and libertarianism, I pretty much the same opinion on you as Lion and Charlie
- Lionheartism - Except for socialism (and even then, you support markets there) and progressivism, we disagree on pretty much everything
- Aploism - Good intentions with mediocre implementation, especially in economics, but you're still close to me and a good comrade against oligarchs
- Neo-Nasakomism - The Culturally Nationalist and State Socialist part of you is very based and pretty much me. But uhh, why Traditionalism and especially why Fourth Theory? Your good half is overshadowed by your other half of being a pseudo-fascist
- Left Islamism - Your economics are very good, and you're a fellow Muslim, but you need to stop with the theocracy. Forcing religion onto people through having it in the state does nothing but alienate the people away from religion. Religion is best when it's enforced through culture and not laws. Also changing the law depending on one's religion can only go wrong, a divided populace will not stay as one nation for long
- New Texan Socialism - Anti-racist clerical-fascist class-collaborationist conservative-socialism, what the-
- Sleepism - I generally hate theocrats, but you're definitely an unorthodox one. A leftist and environmentalist economy is pretty nice, not having the state religion oppress the others is at least something, and the centralism is based. Still though, no secularism is a deal breaker.
And why the fuck do you like Saudi Arabia
Pretty Bad
- Bergenism -
LiberalMarket "socialist", interventionist, socially libertarian, and federalist. Other than thecoop capitalistsocialist part, you're nothing more than another Western Liberal who thinks they're allowed to police the world and disregard national sovereignty
- Bread and Circuses Thought - Sorry I don't drink
- Rift Stratocracy - I don't disagree with Stratocracy in principle, and Mutualism definitely has its heart in the right place. I just don't think the idea of "remove all currency and return to the fields" can ever work. Your ideology seems to want to return to ancient times, where everyone worked in the fields and warrior god-kings ruled unopposed, but without the social reactionism. Without regressing technology and societal progress on a global scale, that can never happen
- Rojoism - Your ideology is literally what MAGA thinks when they hear socialism. You also sound like those twitter MLs who will get mad at people for voting but not do anything themselves to change things
- Meowxism - I never thought I'd say this to someone but you're way too radical for my tastes.
- Charlottism - Ew libertarianism, ew capitalism, ew individualism, ew post-humanism (under capitalism) 🤮🤢. But your actual beliefs are a lot better than this mess of an alignment list you have, so I won't put you in dislike
- Nationalist Dogeism - I hate conservatism and I hate right-wing nationalism. You are both of those things.
- Mizoism - The only things we have in common are pan-nationalism and authoritarianism, but you aren't extreme enough in the things we disagree on for me to put you in horrible
- Carangejoism - In your own words, you're like a Christian version of Mizoism, I don't feel I need to repeat myself
- Vedocracy - I disagree with religion affecting government on principle. Even if I look at your ideology secularly, it's still horrible. Anti-nationalism, markets, and anti-egalitarianism are all things I vehemently disagree with
- Opkedism - You're a pretty standard Western Liberal. Welfare and democracy domestically, genocide overseas. Your placement is lower than your ideology should be because of how prevalent and dangerous interventionism still is in irl politics
Horrible
- Nitrism - Ethno-federalism... You found the two worst ideologies that get mixed with nationalism and blended together! Also insert unoriginal joke about fascists hating furries and you being a contradiction
- FFE's Thought - You share my view on nationalism and nation as family, everything else you believe in is downright deplorable
- Lanceism - Secularism is one of the most important principles of my ideology. Not only disliking it but wanting to destroy other religions?!
- General Studios Thought What the- You're a reactionary fascist. I don't think I need to say anything else
- Belinism - A monarch, in modern times, can never embody the spirit of the nation. They will use their power to oppress and enrich themselves, and even if they don't their heirs will, because the institution itself is the problem. You're also a fascist
- Ameronism - The idea that evil has triumphed and all resistance against it is futile is contradictory with most religious thinking, including mine, that's why I called you Satanic, as it is unironically what the Biblical Satan would want people to believe. Even from a secular point of view, it sucks. Hope is the most important thing to have in politics, and your ideology not only lacks it but is against it
- SlovakianPatriot3ism - ...What are you? Other than nationalism, and even then I don't consider capitalist nationalism to be much more than hypocrisy, you're a literal dystopia. Every single bad ideology combined into one
- HopesDarkness - Unironic "killpeopleism". You'd make a great villain in a Fallout game or something

My friend, if Turan is going to establish it, it should be established together with Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. There is not even any connection between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
Economic nationalism is not a good thing. You should not be able to produce anything by being introverted. It leads to technological decline and waste of resources. A man had a say. I don't know who he is. But he said it right. "Protectionism is what we do to ourselves in peacetime. In wartime, it is what you do to the enemy." The growing sector needs to be opened abroad. But you can also control it somehow.
- I disagree, why should we be disunited from our Turkic brothers? There are countries with exclaves that survive just fine. Also we have a connection with Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan.
The growing sectors being opened to other countries means your resources will be exploited by foreign corporations that are harder to regulate, their profits will go to foreign billionaires who are harder to tax, and your jobs will be shipped overseas which will cause societal problems back home
It doesn't mean anything. Are companies on the border of the country stronger when they compete with each other? Or is it stronger when they act as a single body? Of course, they are stronger when they are a single body. Also, companies are a single body; They overcome economic crises more quickly when there is state control.
