    Statism is a form of government characterized by a highly centralized government. In a statist system, the government exercises significant control over various aspects of society, including education, law enforcement and social programs, often extending to state ownership of industry and central planning. It's located in the upper portion of the civic axis, above Liberalism but a bit below Authoritarianism.
