Stanistan is a political RP that is closely linked to PCBA, it was created after the PCBA elections on the 15th of June. The name comes from the Persian word for Land, or "Stan". This means that Stanistan is technically "Landiland". Stanistan is commonly used in Polandball and Polcompball comics as the placeholder country.

After more than two months of fluctuating activity, Stanistan has pretty much died. It didn't happen because of one specific incident. Everyone slowly became bored and disinterested, and moved to other RPs.

History

Stanistan was created after the first PCBA elections (started by HungryFig on the 15th of June), so it wouldn't be just to see who won. It's a political RP taking place in the fictional nation of Stanistan. The name is taken from the PCB wiki, where it's used to refer to any country (other examples include Neighborstan and Provincistan(every time someone calls provincistan "provincestan", a puppy suffers an extremely painful death), both of which are also used in the Stanistan universe)

The first elections were won by the Popular Front, which nominated Nerit as the Prime Minister. Halfway into their term, the PF split into multiple parties to increase RP activity and because of an argument. Nerit also resigned during this crisis and PlantBoi became the PM.

During the leftist crisis; their main opposition, the United Populist Coalition also fell apart. The right eventually united under a new party, the Christian Democratic ReForm Party.

New elections were held on the 17th of July. They were delayed because the government ran out of SC candidates and couldn't finish the court, which made it impossible to assign an election minister. The election was complicated even further when it was discovered the left had campaigned in other left-leaning subreddits to secure a victory.

All of this caused HungryFig to do a military coup. The coup resulted in a civil war between the junta and the democratic forces. It was eventually won by the democratic forces but was declared not-canon because of how big a mess it was.

After a religious argument in the discord and getting banned by a leftist mod, ReForm members left Stanistan and joined Aidel. Aidel is another country in lore that has its own political RP.

It was around this time that the current 2 biggest parties formed: the People's Stanistani Royalist Party, a Center-Right Monarchist party; and the biggest one, the Socialist Union of Stanistan.

Due to the position being notoriously boring, Stanistan has gone through 6 justices in its existence, however only 1, Bergen, is left as of August 10. Unqualified justices have always been a problem to Stanistan, and this has become even more of a issue as the candidate pool is small.

Personality

Stanistan is extremely bipolar as its personality and opinions on things change seemingly on a whim, based on factors like ruling party, who's president/MP, general consensus of the population, ministers, etc.
