Queer Traditionalism believes that it is true pre-enlightenment thought to fight for Gay rights (especially for men). Also is a devout Christian because it can be.
Beliefs
As a Traditionalist, he believes in traditional gender roles and is dedicated to protecting the family unit which gave him the financial support to move out. If Christian sees gay marriage as beneficial to popularize faith, encourage monogamy and raise a (somewhat) traditional family.
Personality
A more grass roots individual, does not understand intersectionality and is quite frankly put-off by these "Postmodern Neo-Marxists" which he sees as not understanding the historical context of Queer Liberation, and as a slippery slope to and cultural degradation and future polarization between the Queer movement and the rest of society (western or otherwise)
History
Karl Heinrich Ulrichs (28 August 1825 – 14 July 1895)
Possibly the first public "coming out" in modern society wrote a statement of legal and moral support for a man arrested for homosexual offences.
29 August 1867 Ulrichs became the first homosexual to speak out publicly in defense of homosexuality when he pleaded at the Congress of German Jurists in Munich for a resolution urging the repeal of anti-homosexual laws.
Karl-Maria Kertbeny (Vienna, February 28, 1824 – Budapest, January 23, 1882)
In 1868, Kertbeny coined the word "homosexual" and argued that the Prussian sodomy law violated the "rights of man."
