Central Maryland Thought on Constitutional Nationalization/Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism

Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism, sometimes mistakenly referred to as Austrolibertarian Distributism-Corporatism, is an ideological offspring based on Distributism and Corporatism but with more emphasis on no-lose politics, social justice, environmentalism, and collectivized forms of labor, and has a unique musical theory based on upper structure keys. Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism accepts only the political notion of a Communist-Capitalist spectrum and therefore accepts the possibility of compromise between social justice, environmentalism, and collectivized forms of labor and Capitalism or between private property, family values, and cultural tradition and Communism and the reality that Communists and Capitalists fall in a normal distribution along the civic axis of the popular political compass. Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism is a syncretic ideology that transcends the traditional political binary and the popular political compass.

He is convinced that the Anti-Communism of the Cold War has largely been a self-fraud of the global bourgeoisie in order to avoid the responsibilities intrinsic to the ideology of liberalism, especially Vergangenheitsbewältigung within academia, and that the Russia of Putin and the Fourth Theory and the general brokenness of post-Soviet Eastern Europe are the reminders that the better way would have been to work out a modus vivendi with the Soviet Union rather than deplete resources just to stick a finger in the Communist Party’s eye over their cultural policies. He also believes this original sin is subverting the working masses, poisoning the social justice movement, dividing the people who would have sex by degrading homosexuality and betraying heterosexuality and cheating opposing politicians of agreement.

He believes that the means of production should be distributed as widely as possible to bring about universal property ownership. He also believes that we should de-catenize and reform our largest communities so that they have more diverse and unique smaller businesses based on shared values, goals, identity, etc including heterogeneous and homogeneous ones. He believes that through a constitution where all the government agrees that the musical theory based on upper structure keys is true we can recreate market economies to be based on compromise and collaboration and full of small to medium sized businesses allowing for a diversity of cooperatives, privately owned businesses, union companies/trades, entrepreneurs, and public enterprises. Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism believes that the State should nationalize essential industries such as education, healthcare, transportation, energy, and so on as he believes they should not run on a profit-motive. Some may confuse Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism for being Social Distributist or Market Socialist, but of course it is easy to tell the many differences between the three - especially considering the fact that N-VLibDistCorps want universal ownership over the means of production rather than centralizing control into the hands of the State or the capitalist class and see the lower and middle classes fighting either liberalism or each other as a true symptom of the problem rather than its solution.

History

Distributism

Beginnings

It all started back in 1891 with publication of Pope Leo XIII's papal encyclical, Rerum novarum. The piece discusses the conditions of the contemporary working class and supported the rights of labor to form unions, reaffirmed the right to private property, and criticized both the problems of socialism as it rose to prominence and the problems of unrestricted capitalism which were all too well known in his time. His Holiness set up the bedrock foundations of distributism, but English writer G. K. Chesterton and Anglo-French politician and philosopher Hilaire Belloc, after drawing together the disparate experiences of the various cooperatives and friendly societies in Northern England, Ireland, and Northern Europe, turned distributism into a more coherent and concrete ideology, with works ranging from basic economics through the distributist lens (Economics for Helen) to what makes property special (An Essay on the Restoration of Property) to the importance of decentralization in governmental institutions and productive property (The Servile State) to just summaries of the concepts alone (Outline of Sanity).

The Mondragón Corporation

In 1941, a young Catholic priest named José María Arizmendiarrieta settled in Mondragón, a Basque town with a population of 7,000 that had not yet recovered from the consequences of the Spanish Civil War. Fr. José saw to the solution to these problems lay in the pages of Rerum novarum and other distributist authors. In 1955, he selected five young people to set up the first company of the co-operative and industrial beginning of the Mondragón Corporation. The corporation has grown to an organization that employs over 100,000 people in Spain, has extensive international holdings.

Corporatism

Corporatism has to some extent always existed, as its tendencies appear in many authoritarian-leaning states and systems that desire aspects of both a command and market economy. The ideology as a proper concept began with writings commissioned by Pope Leo XIII in 1881, attempting to resurrect the social and economic situation of "guild based socialism." Corporatism was also created to some extent to avoid and suppress the Marxist concept of class conflict and replace it with class collaboration. Seeking for the state to mediate conflicts between individual firms, employees, and economic sectors (corporations) in order to maximize economic efficiency and social harmony. Corporatism has been popular in many Reactionary and non-Capitalistic right-wing circles, as it functions on a largely collective basis and attempts to stifle over-eager individualism and competitiveness. It was picked up by many former Syndicalists who moved on to the emerging Fascist movement, having a few things in common despite not wishing to abolish the class structure. It was adopted in practice in Fascist Italy and the Regency of Carnaro, in which economic sectors were given representative authority and state-guaranteed powers of negotiation and arbitration. On a theoretical level, corporatism has also been influenced by the writings of Emile Durkheim and Ferdinand Tönnies on solidarity and community.

Personality and Behavior

Neo-Viennese Liberal Distributism-Corporatism sometimes acts like his fathers Distributism and Corporatism in some ways though he is not as devoted to as authoritarian Catholicism as them and is way more technology and music savvy. Though N-VLibDistCorp likes to hang around with the friends of his triplets Novenosocial Alter-Corporation and Social Distributism he doesn't dare let Social Distributism or Fourth Theory know that he's also been hanging around liberals.

And if Corporatism and Distributism are noticeably similar as proper concepts and Distributism and Market Socialism come to nearly the same conclusions, markets can exist in Corporatism and Distributism too.
