Hansonism is the ideology of the Australian politician Pauline Hanson, as well as her supporters and her political party, One Nation.
Beliefs
Immigration
One Nation wants to significantly reduce migration in Australia for various reasons, and supports travel bans on certain countries as a method to reduce radical Islamism. She supports assimilationism, aiming to permit only skilled and English-speaking immigrants into Australia.
Economy
Hansonism is a protectionist ideology, supporting a revival of Australia's manufacturing industry, as well as holding opposition to foreign investment & ownership (particularly essential services such as power or roadways)
Hansonism also supports welfare to an extent, particularly pensions. On the other hand, she claims that people are faking Aboriginal ancestry to get on welfare.
Law
Hansonism is opposed to same-sex marriage, sharia law & recreational drug usage, though she is still supportive of medical cannabis, as well as firearm ownership. Adding to all this, she also supports citizen-initiated referendums.
Environment
Hansonism doubts man-made climate change and wants to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. She supports building low-cost coal power stations as an energy source.
