Christian Populism is an ideology that utilizes populist rhetoric to appeal to Christians and give their views greater power in government. Typically they're culturally right and some support theocracy, but this isn't a given.

Christian Populism can vary in beliefs, but his main aspect is the use of christian rethoric to appeal to the masses. Christian rethoric is his tool to mobilize the christian population, challenge atheist elites and push views into the government, views which frequently are right leaning and sometimes theocratic.
History
Christian Populism had it's first flourishing with the Christian Right movement of the 70's and 80's in the United States. Ever since, it's had a place in christian nationalist and other conservative circles.
