Cao Dai is a Vietnamese new religious movement founded in 1926, rendered in Vietnamese as Cao Đài. It was created as a syncretic faith of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, taking most of its views from these religions.
Cao Dai Theocracy is a form of government following this faith. Caodaists are monotheistic, venerate ancestors, practice nonviolence, and similarly to Buddhists, seek liberation from samsara - the cycle of birth, death and reincarnation that the unenlightened are privy to.
- Buddhist Theocracy - We can guide the people away from dukkha.
- Taoist Anarchism - You also want unity with the Tao, but expect to get it without some way to lead people there.
- Marxism–Leninism - State atheism sucks.
