Anti-Cambrianism

Anti-Cambrianism is the belief that the Cambrian never happened. This usually entail believing the Earth is under five figures old. Anti-Cambrianism is usually combined with Anti-Evolutionism, as the modern anticambrianist (YEC) movement embraces both. Modern anticambrianism usually holds to a creation approximately 6000-10000 years ago; the geological formations seen today were supposedly formed by a massive global flood.

Young-earth creationism/Anticambrianism has traction, even if the conventional has denounced it. Famous proponents would be Ken Ham and Kirk Cameron. The ideology usually rises from a strictly literal interpretation of Genesis.
